Japanese language proficiency test
(JLPT/The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test)
It is a Japanese language test and recognition for non-native Japanese learners in Japan and overseas. The test was conducted in Japan by the Japanese Language International Education Support Association and in China by the Japan Foundation for International Exchange and the Overseas Examinations Authority of the Ministry of Education of China.
The Japanese Language proficiency test is divided into five levels :N5, N4, N3, N2, N1
N5: Be able to understand basic Japanese to some extent.
N4: Be able to understand and use basic Japanese sentences.
N3: Be able to understand standard spoken and written texts and describe daily life scenes.
N2: Be able to understand complex conversations and texts, and master a rich use of words.
N1: Speak fluently, and participate in discussions in all fields without barriers.
